What the connector can do

Search memory

Find relevant memories in the authenticated user's hippocampOS workspace and return compact, citation-ready results.

Read a result

Retrieve the full text and source metadata for one result that came from a memory search.

List brains

Show the named brains available to the authenticated user, including Master Brain for an all-brains view.

Invoke a brain

Retrieve relevant context from one named brain, or from Master Brain when the user explicitly chooses it.

What it cannot do

The public connector has no write or delete tools. It cannot change hippocampOS data, inspect billing or account settings, retrieve connector credentials, or query Claude chat history and files.

Before connecting

Sign in to hippocampOS, complete plan selection, and populate at least one brain. The connector only returns memories available to the user who completes OAuth authorization.

Authorization and privacy

Access stays user-scoped

OAuth grants only brains:read and search:read. Every request is resolved against the authorized hippocampOS user and workspace. Claude receives only the context returned for the request.

Test after authorization

If authorization becomes stale, remove the connector in Claude and add it again so OAuth discovery creates a fresh connection.

In Claude Code, run /mcp to review status, authenticate, or clear the saved connection.

  2. 02Select the plus button, choose Add custom connector, and enter the URL below.
  3. 03Authorize hippocampOS, enable it in a chat, and say "invoke my work brain".
