Terms and Conditions
The rules of the workspace.
Effective date: May 6, 2026. These terms cover hippocampOS accounts, connected Google services, AI memory workflows, billing, acceptable use, and service limitations.
1. Agreement to these terms
These Terms and Conditions govern your access to and use of hippocampOS, including the website, app, Google connectors, AI-powered memory features, APIs, documentation, and related services.
By using hippocampOS, creating an account, connecting a Google service, or accessing any part of the service, you agree to these terms. If you do not agree, do not use hippocampOS.
2. The service
hippocampOS is a private context and memory workspace. It helps you create named brains, connect selected data sources, enrich records into searchable memory, and retrieve context for use with AI assistants.
The service may change over time. We may add, modify, limit, suspend, or discontinue features as needed to improve the product, comply with law, manage risk, or operate the service.
3. Accounts and security
You are responsible for the accuracy of your account information and for maintaining the security of your Google account, devices, sessions, credentials, and any API keys or third-party accounts you connect.
You must notify us promptly if you suspect unauthorized access to your account or connected data. You are responsible for activity under your account unless caused by our breach of these terms or applicable law.
4. Google connectors and third-party services
If you connect Gmail, Google Photos, or another Google service, you authorize hippocampOS to access, store, process, and use the authorized data only as described in the Privacy Statement and only to provide or improve user-facing hippocampOS functionality.
Your use of Google services remains subject to Google's terms and policies. Your use of AI providers, hosting providers, payment processors, and other third-party services may also be subject to their own terms.
You may disconnect Google connectors or revoke Google access. Revocation stops future access but does not automatically remove data already imported into hippocampOS.
5. Your content and license to operate the service
You retain ownership of your data, content, memory records, prompts, outputs, and files. You grant hippocampOS a limited, non-exclusive, worldwide license to host, store, copy, process, transmit, display, and create derived operational records from your content solely to provide, secure, maintain, troubleshoot, and improve the service for you.
You represent that you have the rights and permissions needed to submit, connect, import, or process content through hippocampOS.
6. AI outputs
hippocampOS uses AI features for summarization, categorization, extraction, search, and related workflows. AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, stale, or unsuitable for your use case.
You are responsible for reviewing AI outputs before relying on them, especially for professional, legal, medical, financial, safety, employment, or other high-impact decisions.
7. Acceptable use
You may not use hippocampOS to violate law, infringe rights, compromise security, access data without permission, transmit malware, abuse infrastructure, harass others, create deceptive systems, conduct surveillance, sell or broker Google user data, or process data for advertising, credit-worthiness, lending, or other prohibited purposes.
You may not reverse engineer, scrape, overload, bypass limitations, interfere with service integrity, or use hippocampOS in a way that creates legal, security, privacy, or operational risk for us, users, service providers, or the public.
8. Plans, billing, and trials
Paid plans, trials, usage limits, and prices may be described in the product or on the website. Unless stated otherwise, fees are charged in advance and are non-refundable except where required by law or expressly promised in writing.
We may change plan features, pricing, limits, and billing terms with reasonable notice where required. If you do not accept a material paid-plan change, your remedy is to stop using the paid service before the change applies.
9. Privacy
The Privacy Statement explains how hippocampOS collects, uses, stores, shares, protects, retains, and deletes information, including Google user data. By using hippocampOS, you acknowledge the Privacy Statement.
10. Disclaimers
hippocampOS is provided on an as-is and as-available basis. To the maximum extent permitted by law, we disclaim all warranties, whether express, implied, statutory, or otherwise, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, availability, accuracy, and security.
We do not guarantee uninterrupted service, error-free operation, permanent availability of any data source, or that AI outputs will be correct or complete.
11. Limitation of liability
To the maximum extent permitted by law, hippocampOS and its operators, affiliates, service providers, and contributors will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, exemplary, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, lost revenue, lost data, business interruption, or loss of goodwill.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, our total liability for any claim related to the service will not exceed the greater of the amount you paid to use hippocampOS in the three months before the event giving rise to the claim or USD $100.
12. Indemnity
You agree to defend, indemnify, and hold harmless hippocampOS and its operators, affiliates, service providers, and contributors from claims, damages, liabilities, losses, and expenses arising from your content, your use of the service, your violation of these terms, or your violation of law or third-party rights.
13. Suspension and termination
We may suspend or terminate access if we reasonably believe your use violates these terms, creates risk, violates law, threatens security, harms the service, or exposes us or others to liability.
You may stop using hippocampOS at any time. Termination does not automatically delete all retained records; deletion is handled as described in the Privacy Statement.
14. Changes
We may update these terms from time to time. If changes are material, we will provide reasonable notice where required. Continued use after changes take effect means you accept the updated terms.
15. Contact
Questions about these terms may be sent through the Contact page or by email to abhilash0505@gmail.com.
